The state that was known with the name of Golden Army (Altin Ordu) in the Turkish history had been given to Jenghiz's elder son, Cuçi (Cuci) in the beginning. When Jenghiz died, the Cuci country covered all the regions in the west of Irtish River including the Iran provinces in the southern coasts of Harezm and the Caspian Sea. Since Cuci had died six months before his father's death, Jenghiz had appointed the second son of Cuci, Batu in his place. Since various sections of the empire were shared among his sons in the lifetime of Jenghiz Khan, his sons obeyed to this tradition and shared their countries among their sons. Therefore, Cuci's elder son, Orda possessed the eastern region of the country (Ak Orda= White Horde); Batu possessed the main Kipchak region (Gok Orda= Gok Horde); and Tok Timur possesses the central and northern regions of Idyll River; and Siban possessed the Southern Siberia and the neighbouring regions extending from Urfa, etc. As long as the Golden Horde has a strong centre, all these princes had been submissive to the dominion of Batu family and they had been in various sections of the state as a governor with the post inherited from their fathers. However, upon the weakening of the central government and particularly, the outburst of struggles as a result of the discontinuation of Batu dynasty, they became separate great factors.
