They were submissive to Selcukogullari principality. This principality was founded by Muineddin Mehmed Bey in the year of 1277. Since Mehmed Bey was called with the title of Pervane that meant the minister of palace, this name was called with this title.
He dominated in and within the environs of Sinop. When Selçukoglu Ghazi Bey captured Sinop, this principality was abolished thereof.
When Abaka Han killed Muîneddîn Süleymân in the year of 1277, Mehmed Bey declared his independency and founded the Pervâneogullari principality. Mehmed Bey had established good relationship with the Mongolians and he had contributed great services for them in relation with the state affairs. However, when he was occupied in the arrangements for a movement against the Mongolians, he became ill and died (1297). Afterwards, we have observed Mesud Bey, one of the grandsons of Muîneddîn Süleymân'ın as the ruler of Sinop. Mesûd Bey expanded the borders of his state and captured Bafra and Samsun. There was a Genoese colony in Sinop. They benefited from this situation and took Mesûd as prisoner and took him to Kefe. Mesûd Bey was able to escape upon the payment of a heavy ransom (1298).
His son, Ghazi Celebi who replaced him undertook a military operation with his navy. He collaborated with the Trebizond Greek State and organised a military expedition towards the Crimean coasts and Kefe in the year of 1313. He defeated a Genoese navy fleet near Kefe in a crushing manner.
In the year of 1319, he attacked towards Trebizond for this time. Then, the Genoese people who wanted to penetrate into Sinop were totally defeated against his forces (1322). Since Ghazi Celebi did not have any sons, he was submissive to the domination of Suleyman Pasha from Candarogullari principality since his last years. Pursuant to his death, the Pervaneogullari principality was annexed to the lands of Candarogullari principality (1322).
