.....The Turkish Ruler shall come to this site with his all power and majesty and he will die as a result of the order of Allah. And be assured as a result of the beliefs in Allah that the Turkish Ruler shall go as much as it can and reach to Cologne! The country of Austria will not have much gaiety any more, since the city of Cologne happens to be far away
Where the Europe brought forward the name of Red Apple after Asia is another important issue that necessitates researches. As it can be understood from the examples stated above, the national ideal frontiers of those that have founded and extended the Ottoman Empire are much wider than their political maps. Because the Red Apple lands such as the Vienna, Rome and Cologne, etc. could not be transferred from the map of ideals to the map of states. The follow-up of the traces of Red Apple is just like the scan of the Turan geography.
Much importance shall be attached upon the relevance of the concepts of Red Apple and Turan since they remind one another in an associative manner. However, the desire towards the achievement of these far Red Apples and the great movements towards the conquest of these lands have had great effects on the expansion of the Empire and these influences cannot be denied beyond doubt.
While the Turkish army was running from one Red Apple towards another Red Apple, they were as if pacing out the geography of the Turan troop. The first idealist Ottoman rulers have been considered with the role of a national guide that points out to the Red Apples. For example, in Cassava pitched battle, the Serbian army was annihilated and the Serbia was dependent to Ottomans (Yıldırım Bayezit has taken the place of his father when the road to Engerus Red Apple was opened. He told to the envoys of Venetian, Genuese and the other Italian states that had came to the Edirne palace with the demands of the renewal of the peace and trade agreements that the freedom of trade is a natural condition in Turkey, but he had rejected the conclusion of new agreements with them. Besides, he had also stated that I will go to Rome and feed my horse in the Niche of the Saint Pierre Church!. With his works, he has not even had any hesitation to announce that the (Rim-Pope Red Apple) was included in the spiritual map of the Turkish ideal long before the conquest of the (Eastern-Rome) despite the Western Christianity.
was not possible for Fatih to omit the Red Apple after the conquest that was pointed out by Yıldırım 64 years before the conquest of Istanbul. Even in some western reference books, it is stated that Fatih has frequently repeated those words of his glorious ancestor.
Willing to add the Western Red Apple to the Eastern Red Apple 91 years later than the famous saying of Yıldırım, Fatih has initiated the Eastern-Italian military expedition that was called as (Prussia campaign) by the Ottoman scholars in the year of 1480. He conquered the city of Otranto on the eleventh day of August on Friday, then the surroundings were under military occupation. The real target of this expedition that was apparently initiated against the Napoli kingdom was the (Rim-Pope Red Apple). The fourth Sixtus wanted to run away to France to survive, but he remained in his service upon selling his silver sets against the expenditures of defence and hoping some help! The salvation of Rome did not occur thanks to the silver sets of the Pope, but the death of Fatih after nine months and the appearance of the event of Cem Sultan!
Upon the news related with the death of Fatih, prayers for gratitude to the God were carried out in all the European churches upon the order of the authority of Papacy. Even Paris has become some kind of (French Red Apple) apart from this (Rim-Pope Red Apple) that turned into a ripe fruit in the opinion of Fatih and the (Engerus) and German (Red Apples) that he waited for ripening. The words uttered by Yıldırım to the Italian envoys were used nearly as an imitative poem. Similarly, as a metaphor for the famous cathedral completed in the 13th century in Paris, Fatih has told the following deeds to a French cardinal appointed with the authority of an envoy by the Papacy:
... Let alone the salvation of Rome, I will plant Turkish flags even in the turrets of your big church!, said Fatih. It was not a policy of a casual invasion to include the far and Near Eastern and Western countries within the national ideal borders that have been called as the Red Apples by the ancient Turkish people of Turan Tribe and distinguished even in the peace periods with the names of (Darül-harp) and Darül-Cihad) the House of War and the House of Holy War by the Scholars who maintained the spirituality of the Turkish nations in the glorious period. This policy can be explained through the thought of the supervision of the nations with a general and common order beyond the local administrations.
The sayings attributed to Yavuz that shows all the lands on the world as a small and narrow place not enough even for one state has been considered as a revolution in terms of the foreign policy that caused bloodshed in the period of Kanuni. This feature is the clearest evidence of the widespread and high consideration that interested all the humans. This principle of foreign policy can be explained as ( There is only one emperor on the world, and he is the Turkish Ruler who is the Sultan of the World= Turan Emperor). The first results obtained under this principle in the field of diplomacy can be seen in the rejection of the title of (Emperor) of Charles-Quint, Carlos the Fifth who was the King of Spain and the German Emperor possessing lands even in America apart from the most significant parts in Europe.
Ferdinand, the brother of Charles Quint who held the position of the emperor of Prussia in that period claimed for some rights on Hungary that was conquered by Turks and sent some envoys to Istanbul. These envoys were accepted by the Grand Vizier, İbrahim Pasha in the year of 1530 for attendance. Since any other person apart from the Ottoman emperor would not hold the title of (Emperor) on the world, the conditions stipulated for the peace that were told to these envoys were the conditions that (Carlos, the king of Spain Provinces) would withdraw from Germany and (his brother Ferendus, as his governor) would give up all his claims and put under the yoke of the Turkish domination.
Celalzade Mustafa Çelebi, the famous historian author who held the position of a marksmanship for 23 years under the service of Kanuni, in other words, who had worked within the structure of Foreign Ministry in the organisation of those periods mentioned about Charles Quint in his works titles as Tamakatül-Memalikas follows:
His saying as He pretends to be an emperor depending upon the descriptions of some sorts of importunate men around him! results from this principle of national policy. This was one of the most significant reasons for the (expedition to Germany) between the years of 938-1532 carried out by Kanuni. The purpose followed in this Fifth expedition, the imperial expedition was not the conquest of Europe and the domination of Europe directly under the Turkish sovereignty. Instead, the purpose of this expedition was the annihilation of all powers that can oppose to the Turkish superiority and the foundation of a unique and general hegemony over Europe.
Pursuant to this military expedition, Istanbul agreement concluded on the date of 22nd June on Sunday in the year of 1533 partially stipulated this purpose stated above. The King Ferdinand acknowledged that he accepted the Ottoman Ruler as the father and leader of sovereignty and he held the same position equal to the position of the grand vizier that he addressed as a brother. Upon the convention that he had to conclude in the year of 1547, Charles Quint surrendered to the control of the Turkish hegemony in the name of all states under his domination 14 years later than his brother, Ferdinand. As required by this severe convention, it had been stipulated that an annual fee of thirty thousand units of gold should be submitted to the Turkish treasury before the month of March in every year.
Since the Emperorship of Germany pertaining to Charles Quint was not recognised, the provisions of this convention were obligatorily accepted under the title of Carlos, the King of Province of Spain. Through the post of Papacy, the Republic of Venice and the Kings of France and Prussia were included in this agreement. Kanuni had stated that such an agreement that established a Turkish hegemony over Europe was concluded upon the demand and request of the other party due to the goodwill of the ruler. He had certified this honourable document on the date of 23rd August on Saturday in the same year.
It has been observed from various documents that Luther who tried to diffuse the sect of Protestantism claimed that the resistance against Turks in the course of the expeditions for hegemony undertaken for the great case of Sultan Suleyman who has proclaimed his unique emperorship of the world would be equally considered as the resistance to the forces of God, and that lots of families were migrating from Austrian lands to the Turkish provinces = Turan with the purpose of living under a regular and fair administration, and that the Governor of Buda, Hasan Pasha had given up the oppression in Payatin Eszterhazy in the year of 1631 since these migrations continued for a period of a century and then he even forwarded some warnings and notices to finalise the flow of this migration.
Of course, the whole world has become a unique Red Apple and its geography that it occupies has turned into a land of Turan in the opinion of Kanuni who held the position of the emperor of emperors and the guard of the human rights. And his government had announced that there was no other emperor on the world but him.
This great thought did not fade away upon the death of Kanuni. It continued to be alight even in the following periods. This ancient Turkish ideal was the primary factor even in the expedition to Poland carried out by the Young Osman, the son of the grandchild of the grandchild of Kanuni who reigned for a period of four years in the beginning of the seventeenth century. It was pointed out on the grounds of contemporary documents written within a significant work of art.
The work of art titled as (Histire dOsman) published as a second volume in 1734 pertaining to (Madame de Gomez) depends on the documents of three French envoys who were in Istanbul in the periods under the reigns of Ahmet the First, Mustafa the First and Osman the Second. According to this work, the Expedition to Poland carried out by the genius child called as Young Osman was initiated in order to reach and extend to the Baltic Sea, to establish a navy in that sea, to blockade the Europe both from the Mediterranean and the Baltic Sea and to provide the proper means and opportunities for the intrusion into the middle parts of the continent over Italy!
Probably this awe-inspiring project shows that the sultan of the world still considers the terrestrial globe from the view of a Red Apple.
The Red Apple that the ancient Turkish generations mentioned to be absolutely conquered one day tended to be refuted for it has been forgotten since the beginning of the decline of the Ottoman empire. Particularly the Red Apples that were conquered in the grandeur period were lost one by one in the period of decline and the borders of the national ideal were united with the frontiers of the state at last. When these two borders get connected, the ideal of the Red Apple has mortified! The unique anxiety of the Ottoman Empire was the maintenance of the statuesque until the end of its period.
The greatest difference of a human from an animal can be shown in the need for ideals. The brain of a man can feel hungry just like his stomach and this spiritual hunger can only be fed with an ideal. Lots of people who have become deprived of a national ideal in their countries assimilate foreign ideals borrowed from external resources just like import goods. This adoption is the natural result of the law of nature. It is the obvious reality that could not be appreciated since the centuries of decline in the Ottoman rule and particularly the period of Reforms.
Sometimes, there have been some factors that have determined the development of the movement of Turkism that was also called as the movement of Turanism:
The appearance of various national movements in the XIX. Century (Greek, German, Italian, Slav, Armenian, and Arabian): Most of these movements were oriented directly towards the Ottoman Empire.
The crushing defeats that the Ottoman Empire faced and the forfeit of the Balkans, Africa and consequently Syria, Arabia, Iraq and Mosul in Asia as a result of these defeats. As the lands of the empire was gradually forfeited and surrendered, the Turkic element in Anatolia gained much more importance not only in the terms of the population, but also in terms of the security and safety of the state as the only fundamental agent that can be relied upon.
The development of Turcology: The Turcology provided a list of the Turkish nations and showed the relevance of languages spoken by these nations and illuminated the history of the ancient Turks.
The establishment of a Turko-Tatar Muslim intellectual class particularly in Russia and the services provided for the Turkish media in Russia in relation with the events of 1905. The characters such as Ali Hüseyin-zade (Bakü), Yusuf Akçura (Kazan), Ahmed Ağaoğlu (Karabağ) had livened up this movement with great support and oriented the supports and contributions obtained from the Turks from Turkey.
the beginning of the century XX., there were three political views in Turkey: Pan-Islamism, Westernisation and Turkism. The free debates upon these views would be published in a newspaper issued under the name of Turk in Cairo (in the years of 1902-1903). The view of Turkism was represented by Yusuf Akçuraoğlu. His works of art named as Üç Tarz Siyaset (Three Political Styles) has played an important role in the development of the program pertaining to this movement. Akçura criticised the Ottomanship since it tried to restrict the privileges of Turks and act against the Islam that recognises the rights of the Muslims. On the other hand, Pan-Islamism (Islamism) would annoy the Non-Muslims and leave the country subject to the resistance of some European countries. The aforesaid compiler has declared the Pan-Turkism with the thought of the elimination of the greatest handicap, Russia through the supports of the other states.
