THE TIME OF THE KARAKOYUNLU-AKKOYUNLU IN MUSUL

Karakoyunlular related to Oghuz Tribe was populated in Maveraünnehr and Horasan. But during the Mongol invasion they emigrated to the high valleys of Fırat and Dicle and populated there. Bayram Hocaoğlu the leader of the Baharlı Subdivision , which was the most influential part of Karakoyunlu Tribe , founded the State of Karakoyunlu and in the time of Sultan Üveys from Celayirliler, he served to him..Sultan Üveys took Musul from İlhanlılar in 1365 and annexed it. But later Bayram Hacaoğlu occupied. After Sultan üvey’s death Musul ,Erciş and Sincar firstly were ruled over by Bayram Hacioglu , then by his son or nephew Kara Mehmed on condition that they would be related to Celayirkiler , Hocaoglu and Kara Mehmed had an oration declared on behalf of Memluk Sultan Berkuk and they complained to Memluklular about Timur , Kara Mehmed was killed during the beylik striggle in 1390. Kara Yusuf Bey , replacing him struggleed against Timur with Celayirliler. But then he was captured and imprisoned . But he was saved by Şam Naibi Şeyh Mahmud after a short while.

In 1390 Timur , leaving a regent named Hüseyin Bey to Musul , turned Diyarbakır over Kara Yülük the founder of Akkoyunlu with whom he reached an agreement and accompanied on Syria War. Kara Yürek Osman took over Mardin in 1409 and he became the ruler of Musul after ashort while. In the same year , he destroyed the state of Artukogulları.

The security and stability of the area , of which lots of populated areas occupied due to the conflicts between melikler , was death. But after five years Akkoyunlu Uzun Hasan Bey came out and firstly he took over Musul with its districts. And after his death Musul was ruled respectively by his son Yakup Shah and Ali Bey and Rustem Mirza from the same family.
