THE TURKS ARE INTENSIFYING
The Irar Turks went on oppression on Baghdad Government in order to have their rights.Some publication rights about radio and press given to Kurds and the other minorities caused the Turks to react against this situation.From 1 Febuary 1959 on Turks began broadcasting in Turkish on Baghdad radio everyday during an hour.As opposed to this Beşir Journal published in Turkish-Arabic in Kerkük was closed down on 17 March 1959.For this reason Turkmen Brotherhood Club was founded in Baghdad on 7 May 1960 and started to activity.Turkmen Brotherhood Club had an imporant role in near future of Iraq Turks as a social and cultural foundation.On 23 January 1961 Brother Club took permission in order to publish a monthly magazine. The first issue of Brother hood Magazine were published in May 1961 in Turkish and Arabic.This Magazine forming rich collection about culture,art,literature and folklore subjects served for long years. In spite of all these,the Turk were deprived of their political rights and failed to struggle with the Kurds and communists encouraged by Baghdad Management and especially General Kasım.
