Not long after , Baas Party started to eliminate the Opposition parties in order to make their own government stranger. Some of those opposing to the party were sent into exile and the rest were arrested. 51 people were executed in front of the peoples eyes in Baghdad so as to threaten the people. Nizamettin, who was once the Minister of Economy and Trade as a proxy in Arif Cabinet , was among these people. The reason for his execution was that he was a Turkish spy.
