After Mevdud, his son, Mes'ud II was enthroned and he was replaced by the son of Mesut I, Ali. We have observed that Mahmud's son, Abdurresid was enthroned as the ruler of the Gazneli State in the beginning of the year of 1050. However, a Turkish commander named as Tugrul killed eleven princes including Abdurresid and dominated the Gazneli State. However, his domination did not last for a long period and he was killed similarly by a Turkish commander. Then, Ferruhzad who was the son of Mesut I came to power in the throne of the Gazneli State. Sultan Ferruhzad fought successfully with Seljuks and died in the year of 1059. He was replaced by his brother, Ibrahim. The most significant event in the period of Ibrahim was doubtlessly the accomplishment of Seljuk-Gazneli struggles that lasted for long years with a state of peace (1059). Sultan Ibrahim tried to reinvigorate the glorious times of the Gazneli State in the period of his father and grandfather. In the course of this peace, he had negotiated with the Seljuk sultans under equal conditions. Then, this state of peace was strengthened through the relationship of marriages between these two dynasties. Sultan Ibrâhîm had captured some castles in India and established dominion in the region of Gur upon the invitation of Gur people. The first ruler who had minted the title of sultan in the coins was Ibrahim who was the ruler of the Gazneli State. His sultanate lasted for forty years and he died in 1099.

One of his sons, Mes'ud III replaced the Sultan Ibrahim. In the period of this ruler, the expedition to India is of much significance. Pursuant to the death of Mes'ud III in the year of 1115, his son Şirzad dominated the Gazneli State for a period of one year. Then, we have observed that there was a state of interregnum among the sons of Mes'ud III and Seljuks had intervened in the internal affairs of the Gazneli State. Arslan-shah was the successor of Sirzad, but his brother, Behram-shah had provided the support of Sencer who was the ruler of Khorasan from Seljuk dynasty and he ascended the throne of the Gazneli State (1117). Aslan-shah had firstly gone to India, and then he was involved again in the struggles for the throne of Gazneli State, but he lost his life for this sake (1118). Sultan Behram-shah struggled with the renegades in India. He did not pay the annual tax with the amount of 250.000 dinars that was stipulated for payment in 1134. This nonpayment led Seljuk Sultan Sencer to advance upon Gazne. Sultan Sencer had come to the border of Gazne and forgiven Behram-shah that had run away to India. He left him as the ruler of the Gazneli State (1136).

The relations between the Gazneli State and Gurlu people are of great significance among theevents that took place in the period of Behram-shah. Gurlu people who gained power gradually destroyed and burnt the city of Gazne on the occasion of revenge (1151). Behram-shah invaded the city of Gazne again (1152), but his period was in an era of the decline of Gazneli State. Behram-shah died in the year of 1157 and his son, Husrev-shah replaced him.

The turmoil (1153-1157) resulting from the capture of Sultan Sencer by Oguz people led the Gazneli State to be deprived of the support and help of this Seljuk Sultan. This situation suited the interests of the Gurlu people and they got the benefit of it and expanded their dominion rapidly. As a result, Husrev-shah abandoned Gazne and settled in the city of Lahor. Gazneli State could only dominate on the lands in India after that date. Husrev-shah died in Lahor in 1160 and his son, Husrev Melik replaced him. As a consequence, Gurlu people took him as a prisoner through a trick and they abolished the Gazneli State (1186-7).
