REBELLION IN 1920
From 1918 to 1926 , Iraq was under occupation of English Army. Both the public and the administration were irritated from thi attitude.Sir Arnold Wilson , presenting leader of administration in Iraq , was a successful administrator , but strict. No obligation was given native Public in this administration. Delaying the decision , which was going to be about future of Iraq , was made this attitude more disagreeable , Declaration of English mandate regime couldnt been satisfied anybody.At last , much serious rebellion among the society against the administration was broken out-on.
In June 1920 , an event being in Rumeye , arised to rebellion and spread out lots of districts of Iraq. Because the English taking measures for suppressing the events failed the rebellion degenerated into a huge riot in Iraq. Rumeye was suppressed on 20 July. Semave was taken back on 14 October. Whole tribes in the middle of Fırat also particaped in rebellion. After that , the society of Down Fırat and Müttefek took part in rebellion.
New movements were appeared in North and west of Bağdat. Attacked to Finance Department in Bakuba district on 8 August. On 12 August , Detava also was come into resister. The Rebellion was spreaded by a group of sanguador of nationalist in 15 August.Four English commanders and some officers were killed here.After that , a temporary government was established. The Rebellion starting in Hanekin and Kızlarbat continued until 14 August. But in Mendeli , Pasha Talip being in Bağdat with master Nakipzad İlyas who had strong connection with Pasha Talip took charge of administration from Political Dominating of the English and established a temporary government. In the meantime , the rebellion also was started in Kerkük Security was proved here G.N. Salmon of the English Political Dominating was killed by tribes attemping to Kifri on 26 August. But , G.A. Leachman of the English General , was killed in North of Bağdat distinct by tribes.
