The climate in Tuva that is located in the South of the Siberia is fairly harsh, but not as much as in the north. However, it is not a totally fair conviction to match the harsh and heavy cold weathers with Siberia. Siberia is located within an area of 11 millions square kilometres. Even though there are so cold regions that cannot be suffered for living, there are also some regions in which the four seasons can be observed. Tuva is one of the regions in which the four seasons can be experienced. The average temperature obtained in the country for the months of January and February are -25°, -35°. The average for the months of May-August is +20°, +30° in the daytime.

The country gets the highest rainfall in the summer months. The season of winter is much longer (October-April), and the seasons of autumn and spring are much shorter. The snowfall is not so dense. The snow falls with the height of 30 cm. in the savannas and with the height of 1 m. on the mountains and the snow did not melt during the winter. The source of the cold weather is frequently the dry cold. Due to the little snowfall in the winter, the animals such as horses, sheep, goats, etc. can scratch and scrabble the snows with their feet and graze. Nearly all sorts of fruits and vegetables apart from the citrus fruits can be grown up in the lands of the country between the months of May-September.
