The Shi living in especially south and southeast of the country in Iraq, whose population has Muslim 96%, is around 55%. For this reason Iraq in contrast to Arabian countries, is the only country, which the Shi groups are in the majority in the Middle East. The majority of the Shi population is of Arabish extraction. As for the majority of Kurdish of safe sect. 23% of the Turks whose majority is Sunni belong to Shi sect. While the difference sectshas an vital influence among the Arabish in political life, it does not cause any harm or conflicts among the Turks.
