The Khirghiz people had established direct relations with China in this period. However, it has been observed that they got under the domination of Kok Turk State again in the year of 699. As it can be understood from the Kok Turk inscriptions, it was not so easy for the Kok Turk State to establish dominion over the Khirghiz people.
