We have observed that the Mongolians had established dominion over Khirghiz people under the sovereignty of Jenghiz Khan since the beginning of the 12th century. The rebellion that the Khirghiz people caused against the Mongolian domination was suppressed in a bloody manner in the year of 1217. Pursuant to this event, Khirghiz people remained under the Mongolian dominion until the end of the 14th century. However, Khirghiz people who collaborated with Oyrat people in the year of 1399 initiated the second rebellion against the Mongolian dominion and they attained their independence again. However, it was not easy to maintain the independence without the requisite qualifications in the Central Asia under the dominance of a cruel struggle for sovereignty in that period. As a matter of fact, the Khirghiz people experienced a short period of independence and they submitted to the domination of Uzbeks in the year of 1425. Then, Uzbek people could not resist against the Mongolian attacks. Upon these events, Khirghiz people retreat to the steppe lands of Kazakhstan in the north and they started to live together with the Kazakh people under the Kazakh domination.
